COMMUNITY SUPPORT IN NORTH LAKE TAHOE & TRUCKEE

Community Is at the Heart of Tahoe Dave’s

Rooted in Tahoe. Showing up for our neighbors. Sharing the FUN since 1977.

Hey Bud! Tahoe Dave’s Skis & Boards is more than a place to rent skis or grab snowboard gear. We’re a locally owned business that has been part of the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee community for nearly 50 years.

From supporting local youth and nonprofits to celebrating the traditions that make our mountain towns special, giving back has always been part of who we are.

Create Community Impact. It’s one of our core values, and we mean it.

OUR COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

How We Show Up for Tahoe & Truckee

Community involvement isn’t just one event or donation. It’s the many ways we can help make our home a better place to live, work, learn, and play.

Local Business & Community Leadership

We work alongside local chambers, downtown associations, and community leaders to support small businesses, strengthen our towns, and help shape a positive future for North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

Youth, Schools & Local Families

We support local schools, youth programs, team fundraisers, scholarships, and opportunities that help young people learn, grow, and discover what they love about our mountain community.

Outdoor Access, Trails & Stewardship

Our mountains, lake, and trails are part of what makes Tahoe home. We support community organizations and events that care for these outdoor spaces and encourage people to enjoy them responsibly.

Community Events & Local Traditions

SnowFest, Fourth of July parades, holiday celebrations, fundraisers, neighborhood gatherings, and community festivals are some of the ways we come together. We love showing up and bringing a little extra FUN!

Nonprofits & Local Fundraisers

Throughout the year, Tahoe Dave’s contributes gear, gift cards, raffle and silent-auction items, employee time, and other support to organizations serving our community.

Hands-On Community Involvement

Sometimes the best way to help is simply to show up. Our crew participates in local events, shares equipment knowledge, helps with fundraisers, and finds opportunities to connect with neighbors of all ages.

LOCAL ROOTS. LOCAL LEADERSHIP.

Continuing a Legacy of Community Connection

Founder Dave Wilderotter built Tahoe Dave’s in 1977 as a local ski shop rooted in great service, mountain culture, and genuine relationships with the people around him.

When Truckee locals John and Autumn Lincoln purchased the business in 2024, continuing that community-first legacy was important to them. Today, they’re proud to carry it forward while supporting the long-term future of North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

John serves on the board of the Tahoe City Downtown Association and participates in the North Tahoe Chamber advisory committee. John, Autumn, and the Tahoe Dave’s team maintain strong relationships with local chambers, business organizations, and community groups.

We’re proud to participate in efforts that support local businesses, community events, economic vitality, and the places our neighbors call home.

Some of the local organizations we work alongside include:

MOUNTAIN DAYS THAT GIVE BACK

Discounted Lift Tickets Supporting Local Education & the Arts

One of our favorite ways to support the community is through Tahoe Dave’s discounted lift ticket fundraiser benefiting two incredible local organizations:

Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation

and

Arts For The Schools.

100%
of discounted lift ticket fundraiser proceeds go directly to these organizations

Each winter, we offer a limited selection of discounted lift tickets for participating local ski resorts. Customers get to enjoy a mountain day at a discounted rate while helping support youth, education, and arts programs in our region.

It’s a great example of how something as simple as a day on the mountain can make a meaningful difference for our community.
