“I recently had a chance to ski the 2015 Mantra by Volkl and after two days at Northstar on these boards, I really hated taking them back to the shop. I am by no means an expert skier, but I was able to jump right on these and feel confident on the fast, firm groomers. For a fully rockered ski, they had excellent edge hold and never wavered in high speed turns. Older incarnations of this ski were very unforgiving if you get thrown into the back seat but these 2015 skis never flinched when I occasionally rocked back on my heels. With their 100mm waist and full rocker design, these skis would rip in soft snow (whenever Nature decides to send us some). In summary, and intermediate level skier with good basic skills can take these babies out on anything but blue ice and have a great day!”
